Andie Steele Smith: Christian greetings

I was privileged to be invited to the Hillsong Men's Day recently .  I just wanted to say what a privilege and honour it was to hear you give such glory and honour to our amazing saviour. Your story was amazing - but made so much more so by His story interwoven with "yours". Great blessings be upon you, your family and your extraordinary and privileged yet "every day" ministry. With warm personal regards, Andie Steele-Smith

Dear Lord Taylor, Twice now I have had the privilege of hearing you speak. Both times were when you spoke at Church on the Way in Southern California. I live in the state of Ohio in the United States of America. I enjoy listening to The Church on the Way through the internet on Sunday afternoons. It was through this that I heard you speak.

Your testimony, as well as your mother's, is encouraging and life altering. Thank you for so graciously sharing it. It truly shows that 'with God all things are possible'.

So many things ministered to me about what you spoke on today, and the Lord really used it to encourage me on the path he has been leading me on. One of the things you mentioned was about the Sunday school teacher and how it seemed as if no one was listening to him. But yet, you absorbed what he said to you.

Here in the States, I work as a child counsellor. So many of the children I see have been abused, broken and hurt. Sometimes I have the privilege of seeing lives change for the good and headed in the direction of the purposes God always intended for them. But sometimes, there are those I work with and it seems as if there is nothing I can offer them to help. But I always pray that the Lord will use what he does through me, even if it is years down the road. Your words were an encouragement to me to keep doing what I am doing as long as the Lord has me there, and the Lord will do the rest.

May the Lord bless you richly and continue to use you to be an encouragement to countless others--spreading His word and His light to the nations!

Sincerely,

Cynthia MitchellOhio, USA

I would love to meet you in person and shake your hand, I was laughing hysterically at your stories and can relate so much to them. I have experienced my own share of racism in America and YES, I have not let it hold me back. By listening to you today I know that my future is in God's perfect hands. I have risen to positions where most black women dare not dream of, especially those with African accents. It seems that crossing over to becoming a partner in a big 4 accounting firm or a VP in a fortune 500 company takes more than technical skills. I never give up, I wait on our Lord to open doors and give me favour. I enjoyed your speaking today and never heard of you till today. Our God is good.

What an inspiration you are. I am so glad you never let your race stop you from doing what God had already planned out for you before the foundation of the world. I wondered if you know Bill Winston who has a ministry in the US. He also is a black man. He has a ministry out of Chicago, Illinois. He also trains leaders, has a business school and recently opened a bank. We pray blessings on your life and work for the Lord.

I was interested and pleased to read your article 'God's goal' in the Church of England Newspaper. I have taken the liberty of using a couple of quotes from your article in an article of my own for our village newsletter in Oxfordshire.

Whilst reading an article on President Barack Obama's first official trip to Europe, I learnt there was a black member of the House of Lords. We need greater information about House of Lords available in the US.

I read your article. I was awed to see that God has lifted you up like Joseph. It's great to see that a miracle like yours happens even today. I hope you continue to do mighty things and train other Josephs for the coming generation.

My encouragement for you is to keep listening to the Spirit - as you are doing - especially as Head of the Film Censorship Board. Your critics will be many, but your Lord will never let you down. God Bless you abundantly.

May I extend my thanks to Lord Taylor for taking on the role of talent show judge with great panache and judgement. His opening speech was inspiring and I know the young people involved got a lot from Lord Taylor who was taking the time to help them. Stephen Envision, Westminster City School
